Receiving Gifts and Giveaways

Objective: Maintain integrity and impartiality in business relationships, avoiding conflicts of interest.

Definition: Gifts or giveaways are items, services, or benefits offered with no expectation of equivalent payment, including promotional products, hospitality, discounts, and special favors.

Value Limit: Employees may accept gifts whose value does not exceed 100 US dollars (or the local currency equivalent) per individual item.

Transparency: Gifts must be reported to a supervisor or the ethics department for appropriateness review.

Exceptions: Items of symbolic value (pens, notepads with logos) may be accepted without notification when clearly insignificant.

Consequences for Violations: Violations may result in disciplinary action ranging from a warning to dismissal, depending on severity.
